- Title
-
- Full length cape with tuxedo and lining of faille silk or white caracul.
- Description
-
- "Tuxedo", as used here, seems to mean the large folded-back "lapels" of the cape, reminiscent of the similar wide lapels on a man's formal jacket. "Faille" is a closely-woven, slightly ribbed fabric made of cotton or silk. "Caracul" is Persian lamb, or a textile made to resemble it. Note the extravagant hat and the back of the collar of the cape, worked to look like a bow.
- Image includes small sketch of back of garment.
