- Title
-
- Boxy coat with dropped and shirred shoulders.
- Description
-
- Includes small sketch of back of garment.
- Printed on image: "Dropped shoulder on boxy coat." "designed by Pearl Alexander" "ANDRE' 570 - 7th Avenue New York City[.] Feb. 10, 1941"
- Stitching above their seams, and shirring below, give the dropped shoulders of this coat an epaulet-like effect. Material is also gathered at the base of the collar in back to further "tighten" the form-fitting look of the shoulders, in contrast to the straight, loose-hanging look of the rest of the coat.
