- Coat has two long slash pockets above the waist as well as two inside pockets at the hips. The waist is set off by two large buttons.
- Printed on image: "designed by Pearl Alexander" "ANDRE' 570 - 7th Ave. New York City[.] Feb. 10, 1941"
- Includes small sketch of back of garment. Note that the fabric is gathered (shirred?) here to tighten the waist. A "dolman" sleeve is wide at the arm-hole and narrower at the wrist, and is often cut as a part of the body of the garment.
